A current referral from your GP or specialist is required to make a booking.
We would appreciate a cancellation phone call at least 24 hours before appointment time. You will be sent a reminder SMS from Dr Lane's room to confirm attendance.
Preparation for your consultation
Please arrive 5 -10 minutes early prior to your appointment time, as this will allow our reception staff to gather the required details and for you to fill out the patient information sheet. You may also allow time for parking.
What to bring to your consultation
- Current referral from your GP or referring specialist (this may have been sent electronically)
- X-Rays or scans relevant to orthopaedic problem
- Medicare card
- Pension cards if applicable
- DVA card if applicable
- Private Healthcare Card
What to expect at your first consultation
As a new patient, you might be expected to spend 20 to 30 minutes with Dr Lane. During this so that he will gather the relevant information about your condition e.g. mechanism of injury, relevant symptoms and how your condition impacts on your daily life. He will then examine the relevant area. Once a diagnosis is reached, he will further investigate or decide on a course of management.
