Yes. A referral is required from your GP or referring specialist. A current referral will allow you to claim the Medicare rebate.

You will need to bring a referral letter (unless it has already been sent electronically) and any X-rays or scans which are relevant to the surgical problem.  Bring along your Medicare, DVA, Pension and Private Heath Care cards as applicable. Pensioners receive discount.

Full payment is required on the day of consultation. We have EFTPOS facilities available for your convenience. We are able to electronically submit your paid account directly to Medicare on the day for rebate. No refund is available from your Private Health Funds.

You will be informed of the consulting fees and rebates when booking the appointment.

If surgery is required for your condition, an “Informed Financial Quote “will be provided. This will give you a breakdown of “out of pocket “expenses, and the Medicare and Health fund payment.

Please note that our quote does not include the hospital or Anaesthetic fees.
